Backstory
Alessandro De Angeli was born on August 11, 2383 in Shepperton City on the Vega Colony. As a child, he was raised in a devoutly Catholic household and for sometime thought about joining the seminary on Vega. Instead, he decided to study law and became a lawyer in 2404. He is deeply concerned about the legal rights of anyone who has to go through the Federation's legal system and will represent any client that he personally feels has been wronged by the system. He is what one would be described as a "social liberal". He has won many cases in the defence of social justice, most notably in 2410 when the colonists of Volans-3 sued the Federation for the removal of a Ladarium mining facility that was causing health problems for the colonists. In another case in 2414, he successfully defended the Ferengi Sovak after he was accused of trading in Orion Green Slave Women. In 2415, at the advice of his parents, he accepted the offering of a job as public defender at MU Station.
Interacting With MU
Alessandro gets along well with most of MU's staff and residents but he has little love for MU's security who have described him as a "Ambulance shuttle chasing shister". Allessandro likewise feels that MU security are a "gang of fascists" and he is often at the scene of an incident before they arrive. His relationship with MU Ombudsman Phillip Louvois is respectful but Alessandro often takes him to task for not seeing the "social responsibility" side of the law.
