Backstory
Dr. Belinda Burke is the oldest child of Capt. Carolanne Burke. She is a geologist and holds a degree in planetary science. She has authored 6 major papers on solar system and planetary development and was nominated for the Zee-Magnees Prize when she was 27. Ever since she was a child, Belinda has been facinated with geology, almost to the point of obsession. Her mother Carolanne, personally feels Belinda shouldn't have gone into the sciences, which is ironic, considering Carolanne is an astrophysiscist herself. Belinda is very headstrong and independent-minded and has a tendency to go out into the field for months without talking to her mother or her younger brother, Cameron - who she feels is nothing more than a wind-up tin soldier. The only person in the family she is particuarlly close to is her youngest brother Keegan, who is just as independent minded and rebellious as she is. While in the UEP Science Ministry, (A very small department of the UEP Government) she surveyed 14 different worlds and her last posting was working as a dilithium crystal analyst on Capella 4. In 2415, she was lured into traveling to Acadia Prime by her brother Cameron and while there, she learned of her mother's involvement in the Neo-Maquis resistance. Belinda nearly left the planet right on the spot but she stayed behind at Keegan's urging. Before the UEP attacked Acadia Prime, Belinda and the others made off the planet in a transport and rendezvoued with the MRV Aquila to escape UEP space.
Interacting With MU
Currently, Belinda is out of sorts with her brother and her mother. She doesn't like being on MU Station one bit and she definetly lets Cameron and Carolanne know it. She is resentful of the fact that she has to start a new life in the MU universe and it has caused some trouble with her ability to get along with the other residents of MU Station. She has worked off-on with Ens. Idaris Yedra and has begun a friendship with Singe. However, what Belinda wants more than anything else in the world is to get back into the field and only time will tell if she does it.

What does your character think his or her worst fault is? What really is his or her worst fault? She thinks her worst fault is that she should have stopped her mother's insanity long ago. Her real fault is that she can be a bit of a bitch.
What does your character do during free time? Reading any geology journal she can get her hands on. Or getting ready for another expedition.
What would your character be doing if not involved in MU? She's not involved with MU. She just lives there.
