Canon Character

A canon character is a character taken directly from another original work.

For example: Captain James Tiberius Kirk is a canon character from Star Trek; John Sheridan is a canon character from Babylon 5; Kara "Starbuck" Thrace is a canon character from Battlestar Galactica; Shawn Farrell is a canon character from The 4400; Malcolm Reynolds is a canon character from Firefly.

These characters are properties of their creators, and should not be used in MU in their original formats. They pose a possible legal liability, and restrict RP due to their extensive existing stories.
