Backstory
Daneel Seldon is the adoptive son of MRV Aquila Chief Medical Officer Dr. Iria Winner. Daneel was born in Dahkur Province on Bajor to Terissia and Javid Seldon who were members of the Bajoran resistance group fighting against the UEP's occupation of Bajor. After the death of his mother, Daneel's father gave up the fight against the occupation and began to abuse alcohol. He often abused Daneel physically until one day Dr. Iria Winner, who was visting the village at the time learned of the abuse on the boy. Daneel's father was arrested for his past involvement in the Bajoran resistance and Iria adopted the boy, much to her coworker's amusement. Over time, Daneel began to see that Iria's adoption of him was a blessing and she took him away from Bajor to link up with the growing Neo-Maquis resistance. Daneel attended school while on Acadia Prime and has a strong aptitude for medicine, much to Iria's pride. Also at this time, he met and befriended Keegan Burke and the two have developed a very close relationship. Recently, Capt. Carolanne Burke appointed Daneel as a nursing assistant to the sickbay on the MRV Aquila.
Interacting With MU
Recently, Daneel has settled in on MU Station with Keegan Burke and Daneel is attending the school there, training in medicine. He has recently began exploring his people's faith in the Prophets and is interested in theology. He, with Keegan, has made many friends on MU, notably Tabitha, Raven Tomolok and Rantal Mirok - although the Romulan woman kind of makes him uncomfortable. Despite his past, Daneel is a gregarious, friendly boy who enjoys the company of others and is curious about the many visitors to MU Station.
