Backstory
Lt. Elgyn Chitirih-Ra-Payjh is the communications officer on MU Station and on the MRV Aquila. He is fluent in Vulcan, Bajoran, Klingon and Romulan. He is also a cryptologist and holds three degrees in xenolinguistics. He is the developer of the Phase Two Linguacode Communications Matrix which for the first time enabled the Universal Translator to be used to communicate with the most exotic non-humanoid lifeforms. He, along with the crew of the MRV Aquila left the UEP universe for Maquis Universal in 2415.
Interacting With MU
Currently, Lt. Elgyn serves as MU's Communications Officer. He is openly friendly with many of MU's residents and when off duty, he is with a variety of people. He is an avid dom-jot player and has on occasion performed musical selections in Yuna's Lounge on the Promenade.
