Backstory
Dr. Iria Winner is the youngest daughter of Rashid and Salome Winner, the Governor-General of Mars Resource Colony MO-17 in the Terran solar system. She broke ranks with her parents when she was 18 years old and went into medical school against her parents wishes. She graduated at the top of her class and became a specialist in neurological disorders. After graduation, she went on "walkabout", visiting many of the UEP's subject worlds and traded her skills for room and board. When she was visiting Bajor, she came across a boy who was being abused by his father. She befriended Daneel Seldon and later adopted him when his father was rounded up by UEP occupation forces. She left Bajor, with Daneel and made it to Acadia Prime which was the home planet of the Neo-Maquis. She was then asked to become Chief Medical Officer of the MRV Aquila by Captain Carolanne Burke when her ship defected to the Neo-Maquis. Her skills as a neurologist became critical when a team from the Neo-Maquis liberated a group of people from an UEP prison camp who were being used as test subjects for a secret project. She, along with her son Daneel Seldon and the crew of the MRV Aquila escaped from the UEP and fled to this universe to Maquis Universal.
Interacting With MU
Although Iria is the CMO on the MRV Aquila, she serves as one of MU's many doctors. She has made a life and a home for herself and for Daneel Seldon. She is friendly with the various residents of MU Station but has a bit of dislike for certain members of the Keeler family.

What does your character do during free time? When she's not on duty, she tries to be as good of a mother as she can to Daneel Seldon. She also likes spending time with MU's many different residents.
What would your character be doing if not involved in MU? Like the other members of the Neo-Maquis resistance on Acadia Prime, she would have probably died when the UEP nuked the planet.
