MU-Keeler Non-Aggression Treaty

AND NOW come the parties, Suzanne Taylor of the Maquis Universal (MU), and Maggie Keeler Rider of the Keeler Family (Keelers), and
WITNESSETH;
WHEREAS, the parties hereto are the respective commanders of their organizations at the date of signing of this Treaty; and,
WHEREAS, the parties are desirous of entering into an Agreement for the purpose of establishing an Alliance between them, for mutual aid and support, and said terms are recited hereafter. Both parties fully understand all the terms, conditions and provision of this Treaty and believe it to be fair, just, adequate and reasonable as to each of them and accordingly both parties freely and voluntarily accept such terms, conditions and provisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and of the mutual promises, covenants and undertakings hereinafter set forth and for other good and valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by each of the parties hereto, the parties, each intending to be legally bound, hereby covenant and agree as follows:
1. Effective immediately, the MU and Keelers shall cease any and all hostilities between themselves.
2. The MU and Keelers shall provide to the other mutual aid and support, by assigning ships and personnel as requested to aid in operations, and to work in cooperative ventures to be decided by those in command. It is understood that officers of the individual organizations do not have any power or authority over the officers of the other, and may not order or compel them to do anything, unless they are specifically placed in such command during the course of a joint operation.
3. The parties agree that any of their members or guests may visit the website or websites of the other, without discrimination because of their respective affiliations. Officers of the MU and Keelers will not harass, threaten or intimidate each other, and may be subjected to penalties by their commanders in the event such harassment, threats or intimidation occur. It is the strict intention of the parties that an atmosphere of mutual respect will exist between the two organizations, and the two commanders agree to take seriously their responsibilities in enforcing this provision.
