Founding

While formally founded in 2375, the roots of Maquis Universal go far further back. The true inspiration for the creation of the organization was the the oppressive rule of the United Empire of Planets. A small group of freedom fighters banded together against the massive Empire and escaped its clutches. The group pledged to bring safety and justice to the conquered masses, and slowly went about challenging the Empire.
The Empire is now a miserable shadow of itself, and is no longer a threat. The vacuum created by the implosion of the Empire has brought about new threats. The conflicts will never end, but MU will never give in.
