Backstory
Sarah first came to attention as a lieutenant in the final days of Dragonfleet, an associate of Estrella. When the groups decided to Crossover to remove themselves from the influence of the United Empire of Planets, Estrella brought Sarah along as her second, with a potential for her to replace the working head of Maquis Universal, at that time Shadi Erc. (Suzanne Taylor had been killed by Markail Bell at that time, and was only resurrected later by Eugene Boring and Adekka Aksala.
However, her leadership was not accepted by the Maquis, and she remained a supporting player. She had a romantic relationship with Jubilee, and later became the companion of Kyp Jarek.
She continued to run missions for the Rebel Alliance and strayed from Maquis space for long intervals. In fact, Kyp did not learn he had fathered a child until Niko was approximately five years old, as Sarah had kept the boy with her while undercover.
In the past several years, Sarah has helped Kyp run his operation out of the station's areas Below Decks. Recently Niko was attacked by one of the station's lematya cats, and Dr. Boring had to be called in to help Dr. Mitchell Case repair the damage.
Prior to the station's destruction, Sarah and Kyp moved their operation planetside so their work to support the Alliance could continue uninterrupted.
