Tasiq’s world circled its radiant star in a course of 600 days, an orbit far from its surface. Adapted eyes provided their people with better hunting in the dim light, and the fur kept them warm in the resultant chilly temperatures. Feline hearing contributed to Tasiq’s proficiency at communications, as he could detect a wider range of sounds than most humans. His speech is also affected, and he rolls his “R’s when spoken.

Tasiq has no family other than his fellow officers on the Doubtful.
Backstory
Tasiq was an officer of the Confederation at the time the Doubtful crossed over into the MU universe. Although not a part of the original conspiracy that drove the Doubtful to rebel against the Confederation, he gladly supported their new life through the wormhole.
